Introduction #
In CentrixOne CRM, you can add notes to a contact card, an account card, a task, and an opportunity. Where you leave a note depends on your purpose for that note.
A note left in a custom field of a contact or account card can be quickly consulted. On the other hand, it is only accessible via the contact card and is not associated with a task or an opportunity.
You can also create a Notes-type task. These notes are accessible via the Tasks section of a contact card and via the Tasks module. On the other hand, by default, Notes-type tasks are not displayed in the Tasks module because they do not require any subsequent action to be performed. So to view Notes in this module, you need to specifically filter the list by this type of task. When you create another type of task (email, phone, task (“to-do”) or meeting), you can also leave notes in the Comments section of this task.
A task created in a contact card will be accessible via the contact card and via the associated account card (if applicable). On the other hand, a task created in an account card will only be accessible via the account card.
You can also add a note to an opportunity. This way, when you open the opportunity, you quickly get an overview of all the notes associated with it. Even if a note is added via an opportunity, it is visible via the client card’s Tasks section.
