Introduction #
Before searching for a specific contact or account, be sure to check if all the appropriate lists are selected in the Lists module.
Next, validate if you can use basic information to search for the contact or if you need more advanced information.
Note that searching in CentrixOne is not sensitive to upper case or accents.
How do I search for a contact using basic information? #
- Click on the Contacts module
- Click on the search bar
- Input one or more of the following, separated by a space: first name, last name, email address or company name
- When finished, click on the magnifying glass
How do I search for an account using basic information? #
- Click on the Accounts module
- Click on the search bar
- Input one or more of the following, separated by a space: company name or email address
- When finished, click on the magnifying glass
How do I search for a contact using advanced information? #
- Click on the Contacts module
- Click on the search bar
- Choose one of the items of advanced information from those listed, then input it in the search bar
- When finished, click on the magnifying glass
Advanced information for contacts:
In the advanced search, certain values that are indicated may be common to several fields, such as numbers. To tell the system where to look for the information, you must include a code before the value.
Here are the different codes available, followed by an example:
- Title = “t:” –> ex: t:Président
- Phone = “p:” –> ex: p:5142222222 (note that in order to use this code, you must input the number without any spaces or special characters)
- Sales Rep 1 = “r1:” –> ex: r1:john (if the username associated with the representative contains several words, you must input only one of them)
- Sales Rep 2 = “r2:” –> ex: r2:john (if the username associated with the representative contains several words, you must input only one of them)
- City associated with the account = “c:” –> ex: c:Montr (note that you can also input a partial value in case the information has been entered in different ways)
- Street address associated with the account = “a:” –> ex: a:lauzon (note that to use this code, you must input a single word without any spaces)

- Click on the Accounts module
- Click on the search bar
- Choose one of the pieces of advanced information from those listed below, then input it in the search bar
