{"id":31927,"date":"2023-01-23T10:18:06","date_gmt":"2023-01-23T15:18:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/team.centrix.one\/faq\/uncategorized\/comment-reinitialiser-le-service-de-synchronisation-entre-centrixone-et-acomba\/"},"modified":"2023-12-04T16:25:11","modified_gmt":"2023-12-04T21:25:11","password":"","slug":"how-to-reset-the-sync-service-between-centrixone-and-acomba","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/www.centrix.one\/en\/faq\/crm-acomba-synchronisation\/how-to-reset-the-sync-service-between-centrixone-and-acomba\/","title":{"rendered":"How to reset the sync service between CentrixOne and Acomba?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From time to time, the synchronization service linking CentrixOne and Acomba may detect an error and stop working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you\u2019ve noticed that new customers and\/or new invoices are no longer being sent to CentrixOne or you simply noticed an error message when starting the sync, the solution is usually the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_9c7ceea091\"><strong>What types of errors can occur in the sync service?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Several errors can occur, but the 2 most common errors are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A contact from Acomba has been deleted from your CentrixOne account.<br><br><em>(Invoices that were created in Acomba can no longer be sent to CentrixOne because the sync service can no longer find the contact.)<\/em><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A representative (salesperson) has been deleted from your CentrixOne account..<br><br><em>(All data associated with them in Acomba can no longer be sent to CentrixOne, because the sync service can no longer find the representative in question.)<\/em><br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_72c9de50c5\"><strong>How to check if the sync service is working properly?<\/strong><br><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go onto the server (or workstation) upon which the Acomba database and the CentrixOne sync service are installed.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the service called <strong>SyncAcomba_YourCompanyName<\/strong>. There will normally be an icon on the <strong>Desktop<\/strong>. However, it is possible that it has been moved into another folder.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check that the sync service status is <strong>Running<\/strong> and that the sync status between the CRM and Acomba is <strong>Successfully completed<\/strong>. If not, click on <strong>Event viewer <\/strong>for the next step.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_d94c79a09f\"><strong>When the service is not working properly, how do I get the correct error code?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Normally, if you notice that new customers or new invoices no longer synchronize in your CentrixOne account, it means that the sync service status is <strong>STOPPED<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If necessary, click on the <strong>Event viewer <\/strong>to see the error messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is an example of an error message that appears when something does not exist or was not found in CentrixOne:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Erreur de communication avec l&#8217;API. 500 Internal Server Error.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When the sync service detects an error, it will simply stop and it will no longer sync data between CentrixOne and Acomba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can, among other things, occur when the service detects a mismatch between the two software programs caused by an unexpected deletion of data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_d77812d9ce\"><strong>How to repair the sync service?<\/strong><br><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The 1st step is to try to reset the sync service. It\u2019s the same principle as when you restart a computer. This operation is generally very successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log on as administrator on the server or workstation upon which the Acomba database and the CentrixOne sync service are installed.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the sync software called <strong>SyncAcomba<\/strong>. There will normally be an icon on the <strong>Desktop<\/strong>. However, it is possible that it has been moved into another folder.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>Stop.<\/strong><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the <strong>Notepad<\/strong> application of your computer as the administrator. To do this, simply right-click on the <strong>Notepad <\/strong>iconand click on <strong>Run as administrator<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>File<\/strong> and <strong>Open in Notepad<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access the sync service installation folder called <strong>SyncAcomba<\/strong>. Normally the folder will be in <strong>ProgramFiles(x86)<\/strong> and will have a subfolder called <strong>SyncAcomba_XXXX<\/strong> (where XXXX is the name of your company).<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Notepad<\/strong> will only be able to read .txt files, but you can specify to show all file types. Once done, you should be able to find a file called <strong>SyncAcomba.ini<\/strong>. Open it.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In this file, there should be a line containing the term <strong>resetacomba=0<\/strong>. Replace the 0 with a 1.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save and close the <strong>SyncAcomba.ini<\/strong> file.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return to the sync service called <strong>SyncAcomba<\/strong> and click on <strong>Start<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the sync ends without an error message, then your sync service is repaired. If, however, the error message is still there or there is a new one, repeat steps 1 to 10, but replace the 0 (in step 8) with the number 2 instead of the number 1.<br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If the problem persists despite these operations, please send an email to <a href=\"mailto:support@centrix.one\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">support@centrix.one<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From time to time, the synchronization service linking CentrixOne and Acomba may detect an error and stop working.
